Cove Soda is another prebiotic soda maker. Their tag line is: “Every can: zero sugar, prebiotics, and tastes amazing”. Today, I will focus on their root beer flavor.
Branding
I like how Cove designed their can. Their name is large and obvious. The flavor is a bit too small and not in an obvious location. I would have expected the flavor on the bottom, not on top above the Cove logo.
However, this is still an attractive brand with only some minor quibbles about how they laid out their text.

Taste and Ingredients
When you open the can, it smells like root beer with maybe a hint of vanilla or caramel. The color isn’t quite right, though, when you pour it out. It looks a lot like dirty fizzy water.
Surprisingly, this is the first prebiotic soda I have tried that tastes like the flavor it is supposed to be. It is also creamy and foamy too!
The flavor is still weird though. I think part of my problem with it is that the stevia, or maybe the erythritol, gives it an odd aftertaste. I also think the prebiotic might be giving it an off taste, but I’m not sure.
The Wrap Up
So, to wrap up, Cove made a prebiotic root beer that I kind of liked. It doesn’t convince me that it’s better than a regular root brew, but it was okay and much better than the weird prebiotic sodas I have tried before.
